IMPORTANT: Choose a USCG Licensed Captain. It’s for your safety & it’s the law. A USCG Licensed Captain has passed an extensive licensing exam administered by the USCG. It is a USCG requirement to have hundreds of verified sea time hours. Classes include Safety training, Navigational training, Rules of the Road and Seamanship, First Aid, and CPR. You never know when an emergency can occur. Running an unlicensed charter carries fines up to a $5000 State fine and a $5000 Federal fine. Ask to see your captains’ license.
